Mike Quackenbush is an experienced genealogist with over 14 years of research in mixed mediums of both online and offline archives and repositories. With first-hand experience, Mike is knowledgeable in using numerous record collections in both Ontario and Quebec, as well as England, Wales, and Scotland.
Mike is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), the International Society for British Genealogy and Family History (ISB), the Genealogical Speakers Guild (GSG), as well as the Ontario Genealogical Society (OGS) – where he is currently on the Executive of the Hamilton Branch, British Home Child Special Interest Group, Scottish Special Interest Group, and host of the OGS Webinar Series.
Encouraging young people to develop an interest in family and social history is important to Mike. It's without question that Mike is a Founding Member and volunteers to be a champion of the NextGen Genealogy Network, an organization which fosters networking opportunities between young genealogists.
In the world of genetic genealogy, Mike is the Group Administrator to the Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) Quackenbush surname project - with a focus in Y-DNA.
